My name is Dicky. I am a software engineer but also a freelance web designer and developer. I get to know WordPress 3 years ago and i like it very much since that. Before i launch Bloghonour, i actually develope a few templates for free for my friends. Personally, i maintain a few websites, which mostly powered by WordPress.

Why Bloghonour?

I believe every new bloggers will try to search for useful plugin/themes. I had spent a lot of time doing so when i am new to WordPress. Besides that, we also search for custom hacks and tutorials to add more features to our blogs and i know it is really time consuming especially for people who not familiar with PHP. So, i decide to launch this website and share all useful information including resources, themes, tutorials, tips, hacks, and plugins.

In addition to providing free quality themes, we also aim to be an authoritative source of WordPress information. We personally write and publish unique WordPress tutorials. These guides are usually oriented to beginners. Topics range from basic installation to reviews of popular WordPress plugins. These well-written guides seem to be popular among inexperienced and seasoned WordPress users alike.

After almost a year of blogging and tweaking my blog and others, a year that saw me making first runner-up in a theme design competition—with two of the judges choosing my theme for their personal blogs—and several notices on other blogs for the design of my personal blog, a year that had me hanging out more and more at theme-tweaking blogs and the WordPress codex, I finally thought, hey! why don’t I just go and start my own theme blog? And why don’t I just try and make it a valuable resource for bloggers and designers looking for great themes? And—wait, why am I talking to myself? Um, excuse me, I shouldn’t have revealed that last question. Anyway, thus was born, ThemeShaper!

Like I said above, I hope ThemeShaper will be a valuable resource for the WordPress community—and possibly beyond. We’ll get to that beyond business eventually, trust me. I’m thinking the beyond business will look something like, “Drupal from a design perspective.” But right now, it’s home to my WordPress Themes and some great articles on creativity and graphic design. Whatever I got, it goes here. And more.

I purchased Blogohblog.com on November 05, 2007 from its previous owner & founder, Bob Jiwakacau for $10K at a Sitepoint auction. By profession, I am a Web Developer based in New Delhi, India, and also maintain several websites of my own. I will continue to do the good work that Bob did so far and of course, take BOB to the next level as blogging is my passion too! By the way, I love WordPress and as Bob mentioned to me in his talks, its a Magic CMS.
